OEC Business Interiors Becomes Exclusive Authorized Steelcase Dealer in Central Florida

( ORLANDO)  April 25, 2007 – OEC Business Interiors is the new, exclusive dealer for Steelcase, Inc—the global leader in the office furniture industry—in central Florida.

OEC Business Interiors is an office furniture sales and service company that helps corporate, educational, and healthcare customers make purchases and manage modular interior projects. OEC Business Interiors also provides workplace services to help customers reduce the cost of owning furniture and managing facilities.

OEC Business Interiors is an Orlando, FL based company with local ownership operating a 90,000 square foot office and distribution facility in south Orlando. The business will benefit from its partnership with OEC Business Interiors, Inc. in Gainesville/Ocala, FL and Capital Business Interiors, Inc. in Tallahassee, FL. The addition of the Orlando market allows OEC Business Interiors and its partner companies to service customers across all of north and central Florida. “The approach we have taken is to create a family of companies. This allows us to share resources to control our costs, attract the best talent, and service our customers from Metro Orlando to Tallahassee,” said David Salter, Owner.

In addition to Steelcase, OEC Business Interiors will also sell products from other leading office furniture manufacturers. These include National Office Furniture, Kimball Office, Hon and Turnstone. The company’s user-centered approach to customer service employs, as needed, a team of planning, sales, customer service, and project management professionals that work with customers and their designers. All are trained to ensure each item, from a single chair to an entire building of furniture, is specified to make the end-user more productive at work.

OEC Business Interiors will maintain and build upon the full range of services offered by the previous Steelcase dealer to help customers by managing and storing their inventory, providing parts and service for furniture repair, refurbishing products to extend their use, and managing moves, additions, and changes. The company has purchased specific and limited assets from the Orlando operations of TW Ruff, Inc.
